Deadline extended for Best Practices Award submissions
By Suzanne Haggerty, Senior Manager of Customer Engagement —
The submission deadline for Chartwell’s Best Practices Awards has been extended to Wednesday, June 10.
When we designated this year’s deadline back in the fall, we didn’t realize that our original date – May 27 – fell during the week of Memorial Day. Oh, and we also couldn’t have predicted that we would be in the middle of a global pandemic and a significant percentage of utility professionals would be juggling their business and professional lives from the confines of their home offices, living rooms and breakfast nooks.
So, we’re giving everyone an extra two weeks to polish up their award entries.
The original awards of their kind for utilities, Chartwell’s Best Practices Awards recognize excellence among electric and gas utilities with respect to projects, programs and service initiatives. The awards program is open to all utilities – large, small, IOUs, cooperatives, and municipals – across North America.
Chartwell’s 2020 Best Practices Awards categories:
- Billing and Payment Programs
- Communications
- Contact Center
- Program Marketing
- Self-Service
- People’s Choice – Video
Three utilities for each category will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze recognition at EMACS – The Customer Experience Conference, Oct. 5-8 at the Renaissance Hotel in Orlando.
June 10 is also the deadline for the People’s Choice – Video Award, which recognizes outstanding creative achievement in short video marketing/communications efforts, such as TV spots or digital pre-roll. Chartwell judges select the Top Three entries, and the recipients of the People’s Choice Award are chosen by attendees at Chartwell’s EMACS: The Customer Experience Conference.
