John Burnap Joins Chartwell as Senior Consultant

Chartwell is excited to announce that John Burnap, MEP, is joining as a Senior Consultant. John will lead Chartwell’s new Emergency Management Leadership Council, which will launch in early 2025.  

John is an emergency management professional with a long career in preparedness and response, empowering senior leadership Incident Management and Crisis Management teams through training and exercises. He most recently served as Manager of Emergency Preparedness for Eversource Energy. Prior to joining Eversource in 2012 John’s career included emergency preparedness with Hartford Healthcare, FEMA, and the American Red Cross, with an early career as a firefighter and EMT. FEMA certifications include Advanced Public Information Officer and Master Exercise Practitioner.  

When asked about his decision to join Chartwell Inc., John stated, “Leading Chartwell’s new Emergency Management Leadership Council is an exciting opportunity to facilitate and share the development of best practices across the spectrum of energy utilities in North America.”
