Best Practices – Billing and Payment Programs – Increasing Paperless Enrollment – SCE – 2017
In 2014, SCE leaders acknowledged the potential to achieve sizable cost savings through increased paperless billing adoption. Accordingly, a cross-functional team developed and executed the utility’s 2015-2016 paperless billing adoption campaign, an effort that resulted in several million dollars in paper statement savings. As a result of the campaign, the utility’s Customer Experience Marketing division met its paperless billing customer acquisition goals while increasing customer engagement. SCE took home Chartwell’s 2016 Gold Award in Billing and Payment Programs for its efforts.
