Communications – Targeted Safety Messaging – CPS Energy – Case Study – 2018

In 2015, CPS Energy’s Community & Key Accounts Engagement team was challenged to expand the utility’s safety and customer education efforts into a single, comprehensive program. The next year, the Public Safety and Education (PS&E) program was initiated using current safety information and a progressive, three-phase approach targeting students, contractors and first responders. The program has educated thousands of people at hundreds of events, and hit lines for CPS Energy’s service territory were reduced by approximately 30% after the program’s introduction.
