People’s Choice – Video finalists ready for the virtual spotlight

Each year, Chartwell’s research team gathers in the company conference room to choose the three finalists in the People’s Choice – Video category of Chartwell’s Best Practices Awards. “Movie Day” usually involves copious amounts of coffee and a few fancy doughnuts.

This year … OK, fine, judging still involved copious amounts of coffee (researchers gonna caffeinate), no doughnuts, and the lowest level of witty banter these awards have ever seen, since all judges were sequestered in their home offices.

The research staff reviewed dozens of entries from the People’s Choice – Video category, which recognizes outstanding creative achievement in short video marketing/communications efforts, such as TV spots or digital pre-roll.

Attendees at Chartwell’s EMACS – The Customer Experience Conference, taking place virtually Oct. 6-8, will select the top video during the conference.

The utilities competing for first place include:

  • BGE
  • Southern California Edison
  • Xcel Energy

We don’t like to spoil the surprise by linking to the videos before the live vote, but the selected videos range from dramatic to humorous. All of them are educational and entertaining.
