CPS Leverages Color-Coded Messaging for Conservation and Customer Savings

In an effort to promote and clarify energy conservation recommendations, CPS Energy launched an innovative communications campaign in June 2022, in which it publicized the use of color-coded messaging designed to help customers adjust their behaviors based on anticipated energy demands. Effective communication assisted CPS in its goal of achieving greater conservation on days of projected high demand, and helping customers have more control over their energy bills.

These efforts earned CPS Energy Silver recognition in Chartwell’s 2023 Best Practices Awards.
