Consumers Energy’s cross-functional team, including Customer Experience and Technology, Operations Performance, and IT, made strides to improve customer experience during a power outage. The result of this collaborative effort was the creation of AutoETR. This machine-learning model automatically predicts, enters, and updates the Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) for each power outage as soon as it happens.
