Tacoma Public Utilities Modernizes the Utility Experience

Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) recognized the need for transformation when its legacy MyAccount, implemented a decade ago, began to appear outdated in the rapidly evolving technology landscape. The static graphs and outdated technology failed to meet the diverse needs of both residential and business customers, particularly in delivering the benefits of AMI. TPU committed to align its digital vision with customer-centric objectives by providing equitable customer service, streamlining processes, and offering real-time usage data, thereby enhancing the user experience. 

These efforts earned TPU Bronze recognition in Chartwell’s 2023 Best Practices Awards.
