Consumers Energy Helps Vulnerable Seniors Avoid Disconnection with Targeted Communications

To connect low- to moderate-income customers with assistance programs and agencies across the state, Consumers Energy developed its Seniors Outreach Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to reach out to Seniors to provide them with the time to explore available options, such as being given additional time to make a payment or getting access to assistance programs, all in an effort to reduce service interruptions to this vulnerable customer segment when the utility’s Winter Protection moratorium ended on April 1.
